All members of IEMS are required to work two Operations events each semester to remain active and in good standing in the organization. A CPR certification is a minimum requirement to work events and members without valid CPR certifications must obtain certification within the first semester of membership to avoid suspension. Only currently registered University of Illinois students, employed faculty, and staff are eligible for membership.
Registration
Start by hitting the “register” button at the top of the page. Your username should be either your real name, network ID, or if you are concerned about using those then use your IEMS badge number. Select any password you like. We will be unable to see your password. Use your UIUC email. We will not send you any emails from this message board, but it will help us identify who you are. Hide your email. For security purposes do not enter your real birthday. Use any birthday that is at least 18 years old. Hide your age as well. Follow the rest of the instructions on that page and create your account. Your account will not be active until we approve it. IEMS will be checking your eligibility and that you are actually a member. We try to get to all accounts within 24 hours so please be patient.
Rules of Posting
This is the official event sign up for Illini Emergency Medical Services. Events are organized into different types (soccer, Krannert, softball, etc.).
- To sign up for an event you will need to register and be approved. Approval requires that you be an IEMS member in good standing.
- If you find an event you wish to work, click on that event and then "reply" to it with your name, certification, phone number, and netID. If you have a question specifically about the event (like "What entrance do I go to?") then this is the place to do it.
- Only reply to an event once.
- REPLYING TO AN EVENT IS SIGNING UP. Once you sign up for an event you are obligated to find a replacement if you can't make it. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action including suspension and expulsion.
- Each event should have a team limit. A team is comprised of either 2 EMTs, 1 EMT and 1 FR, or 1 EMT and 2 CPRs. If the team limit is 1 and there is already a full team signed up then use common sense and don't sign up.
- Deleting any of your posts will be considered backing out of an event. Deletion logs are kept and we can tell when something is deleted. Backing out of an event will result in disciplinary action.
- Event sign ups are not for small talk. Do not get into conversations. If the need arises we can make message boards soley for that.
- Hide your email so that any SPAM programs searching for email addresses cannot find your email.
- Any inappropriate postings/behavior will result in disciplinary action.
