EMT Lead Instructor Application

The EMT Lead Instructor Application is now available. Applications are by Monday, February 15. This application is to teach the EMT-Basic class next year (2010-2011).

Spring 2010 First Responder Class Application

The Spring 2010 First Responder Class Application is now available! Applications are due by 5pm Monday, February 1st, 2010 to the IEMS office (258 Illini Union).

CPR Member Training on Jan. 28th

Every semester we offer our CPR certified members training using the equipment that will be used on a real call at an event. This training includes learning how to spineboard someone, a CPR refresher, operating a cot and stair chair, and going through all the supplies in a megapack that we carry all our EMS gear in. This is a great opportunity to not only learn some new skills and meet other IEMS members, but to learn more about EMT training and First Responder training and perhaps make a decision to take these classes in the future. This class will be held this Thursday evening, January 28 at 7 PM at a location TBA. Please sign up via Proboards!Participating in this event will look very favorable towards your selection if you plan on taking the First Responder Class or the EMT-B Class in the future.

The FR lead instructor application is now available. Applications are by Monday, February 1. This application is to teach the First Responder class next year (2010-2011).

Thursday, February 4th, 6-10pm
Tuesday, February 9th, 6-10pm
Wednesday, February 17th, 6-10pm
Sunday, February 28th, 12-4pm

Social Hour

I hope you all had a great break and are ready to get back into the swing of things! This week social hour will be held in the basement of the union. We are going to go bowling! Spring 2010 EMT Class Application

The Spring 2010 EMT Class Application is now available! Applications are due by 5pm on Friday, December 4 in the IEMS office.

EMT Instructor Wanted!

EMT Instructor Application: If you are interested in teaching the EMT-B class this spring, please read through the information packet, fill out the application, and return it to the IEMS office. This application is the first step in the process and is due by Monday, Nov. 16. Earlier applications are encouraged.
Note: This application is to TEACH the EMT class. The student application will be released on National Collegiate CPR Day (Monday, Nov. 9)

Social Hour at Noodles & Company this Friday!

This Friday, IEMS will be heading to Noodles & Co. for dinner! Join us at 5pm for some pad thai or perhaps some delicous mac and cheese? Awesome! It is located on Green Street, right by Chipotle.
